State of the City Address
The Lynn Community Association will host their 2nd Annual State of the City address with Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy on Sunday, June 24th, from 3 to 4:00 p.m., at the Lynn Housing Authority Community Room, 10 Church Street in Lynn.
The event is open to the public without charge. Association President, Mary Trahan, stated that “it is very important for residents of Lynn to stay abreast of what is taking place in Lynn, what changes have been made over the last year, and plans for next year and beyond. As our citizens become more involved and informed, they are both more comfortable making suggestions and in doing the things needed to improve our city. Positive change requires knowledge and action. And citizens have a responsibility to be informed stewards.”
The forum will include a brief social networking period followed by the address by Mayor Kennedy, with a question and answer session following.
The mission of the Lynn Community Association is to promote pride and ownership in the Lynn community through beautification, education, recreation, and neighborly relationships.
