Volunteer with the Lynn Food and Fitness Alliance

The Lynn Food and Fitness Alliance is an organization that promotes healthy eating and active living by working in the Lynn community both with store/restaurant owners as well as Lynn residents. The Lynn Food and Fitness Alliance aims to implement political, systematic, and environmental changes that can increase accessibility to healthy food and maximize opportunities for physical fitness.

Right now, the organization's Youth Health Alliance, a group of dedicated high school students from different schools in Lynn, is recruiting for two big projects: The Healthy Corner Store Project and the Healthy Dining Initiative.

The Healthy Corner Store Project aims to promote the healthy items that corner stores sell and in turn help Lynn residents to make educated healthy choices when shopping at these stores.

The Healthy Dining Initiative works to get local restaurants to provide healthy and nutritious dining options to their customers.

To find out more information on how to get involved in these two projects, check out the Alliance's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LynnFoodandFitness or email Christina at CCannon@socialcapitalinc.org.
